Last weekend I packed up all my gaming gear. Xbox, laptop, games, controllers, displays and recording gear all for an old school LAN party. It was an absolute hoot. It’s really strange getting together with a bunch of people to play games, online, instead of doing it in the comfort of your own living room. It’s also well worth it – instead of the odd chat through a headset you can start slinging insults and heckles across the room and get instant, real time responses. you also get the opportunity to play some single console multiplayer games you normally wouldn’t get into and end up having an absolute ball in the process. 2012 London Olympics anyone?
About two months ago I started work on the new look nakronomicon site, now I am finally getting it sorted with a new look, new images and hopefully a manageable schedule of regular posts. Check out the new shininess all around, game reviews to begin shortly and a revamp of some of my old post topics.
I would like to give a shoutout to a good friend of mine who pokes me all the time with “have you updated your website yet!” Thankfully she hasn’t resorted to acronyms. I’m not quite sure I’ld understand what “HYUYWY?” meant, or even how to pronounce it. But you should go check out her post at www.millicentnankivell.com this one is aimed at all you book bloggers but has some good advice that can be applied in many scenarios.
