Nakronomicon.com is the online home and sometimes blog of Nathan Kay.
Nathan grew up in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia; although some would argue he’s still growing up. By day he is a SysAdmin for an advertising agency with offices in Perth, Melbourne, and Auckland. By night, he’s usually asleep… He is also the proud Father of two fantastically awesome kids. Nathan’s other work activities have included audio, lighting and visual systems, large format LED matrix displays, AV installations, video processing and streaming, equipment and technician hire, and IT support.
Nathan enjoys problem solving, if the steaks are high and the pressure is on he relishes the challenge even more. He especially loves coming up with a creative solution during a live event and being able to justify and implement it without anyone being the wiser. Whether it’s a game, or against a problem he’s encountered, Nathan doesn’t like to lose and strives to achieve victory. If he does lose or fail he is gracious in defeat and eager to learn from the experience to achieve a better result next time around.
Nathan hosts this website (along with a couple of others) on his home network, not something he recommends (and now he’s mentioned it, is now the target of all of the hacks). Nathan is continually looking for things to learn about, whether its to configuring network switches and firewalls, BIND, setting up multiple sites from the one apache server or how to operate a new theatrical lighting program he enjoys the process of discovery.
Here you will find an odd assortment of posts, photos, thoughts and videos. Does any of it make any real sense? Probably not.
